Bollywood movies are generally three hours long; and are full of romance, action and music. Music is considered as the backbone of Bollywood movies. If the movie has a good music it is expected to do well at the box office.
Friday is considered as a lucky day in Bollywood therefore all the films get released on Fridays. A film is considered as a hit if it stays successful at the box office for more than two or three weeks. Hundreds of movies get released every month but only a few of them get successful.
Some of biggest Bollywood movies that are critically acclaimed all over the world are “Mother India”, “Sholay” and “Lagaan” etc. These films add grace to Bollywood movie industry. The actors and actresses put in 100% to show the originality of their characters.
Bollywood movies can be big budget to low budget to medium budget. The fate of the movie depends upon the story line and the strong music. The recently released movie “Jodha Akbar” starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bacchan is the costliest movie of Bollywood; it was produced by Aashutosh Gowarikar, the same producer that produced “Lagaan”.
